Audra McDonald is unmatched in her range and the versatility of her talents as an actress and a performer. Audra McDonald who has won six Tony Awards in a row and two Grammy Awards in 2015 was recognized as one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people. The president Barack Obama also awarded her the National Medal of Arts -the nation's most prestigious award for achievements in this field. McDonald made her television debut in the award-winning Peabody Award winning CBS show Having Our Say - The Delany Sisters's First Hundred years. After starring with Kathy Bates, Victor Garber as well as others in the critically famous Disney/ABC version of Annie in 1999, McDonald was an recurring role on the NBC show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. McDonald was nominated for a fourth Emmy in the year 2016 for her performance in HBO's movie called Lady Day, at Emerson's Bar & Grill. The Bite was a six episode pandemic themed drama produced by Spectrum Originals in collaboration with CBS Studios. McDonald appeared as U.S. prosecutor Liz Lawrence in the first episode of her role was seen on the CBS drama The Good Wife legal drama in 2009. It was her turn to reprise the role in the year 2018, playing an episode main character Liz Reddick in Paramount+'s The Good Fight. For her performance, McDonald received three Critics Choice Award nominated. The actress is currently a guest on Julian Fellowes' historical thriller The Gilded Age on HBO.
